  • Nov. 10, 2004 - A Santa Cruz man was sentenced to 4 years after pleading "no-contest" to charges of running over a man with an SUV at a party in Palo Alto, after a fight broke out. This has many similarities to Brendon's case, except for the unfortunate death of the victim.

  • San Francisco - In June, 2003, Mr. Tesfamariam Sebhatu was beaten and kicked in the face, then run over and dragged for several blocks by two men, George Delapaz, the driver, and Carlton Willis, one of the passengers. Tesfamariam did not survive. He died 2 weeks later in the hospital. On Thursday, October 21st, George Delapaz was sentenced to 6 years in state prison and Carlton Willis received probation.

  • Concord, CA - Tevita Holani, 47, plead "no contest" to voluntary manslaughter after he hit a fellow choir member with a music stand on the head, who later died. He accepted a deal that will send him to prison for up to 4 years. Read more...
